Patricia, an orphan living in a traveling amusement park, believes the stars will bring her happiness. One day, an astrologer predicts the impossible: the young woman, an Aquarius, will fall in love with a Pisces boy, a sign initially incompatible with hers. The girl does, in fact, become enchanted by the wealthy student Renato, but he doesn't feel the same way. Patricia travels to Rio de Janeiro, where she befriends a gentleman whom she affectionately calls Mr. Pepe, unaware that he is Renato's great-uncle and the owner of the company where she begins working. Mr. Pepe discovers fraudulent activities committed by his family and decides to fake his death to observe the dispute over his inheritance.
Uma Rosa com Amor is a Brazilian telenovela produced and broadcast by SBT from March 1 to August 16, 2010. It is a remake of the 1972 telenovela of the same name originally produced by TV Globo, created by Vicente Sesso. Adapted by Tiago Santiago, with collaboration from Renata Dias Gomes, Miguel Paiva, Maria Cláudia Oliveira, and Solange Castro Neves, and directed by Del Rangel and Luiz Antônio Piá, the telenovela stars Carla Marins, Cláudio Lins, Jussara Freire, Edney Giovenazzi, and Betty Faria. The story follows Serafina Rosa Petroni, a humble and romantic secretary who dreams of finding true love. After entering into a marriage of convenience with Claude Antoine, a French businessman, to help him solve his problems with Brazilian bureaucracy, the two begin a complicated relationship. Between misunderstandings, family conflicts, secrets, and differences in social background, they discover that a relationship built on an agreement can turn into genuine love.

The miniseries is an adaptation of the novel Tereza Batista Cansada de Guerra, by Jorge Amado. At this stage, she knows tranquility and security. But the colonel dies and she has to go to the house of Veneranda, the local pimp. All this misfortune happens while Tereza waits for the time to realize her big dream: to live alongside the fisherman Jereba, who disappeared from her life. Close to marrying Almério, a good man and settled in life, she meets Jereba, her true love.
