Biography
Luke Morgan is an Irish writer and director. His short film "The Boat" (2023) won the "Gran Prix Irish Short Award" at Cork International Film Festival and "Best Irish Short" at Foyle Film Festival in 2023, both Academy-Award-Qualifying distinctions. He was nominated for the Discovery Award at the Dublin International Film Festival in 2020, and was awarded the 2015 Screenplay Pitching Award at the Galway Film Fleadh. His Irish-language feature film, “Froggie” (2024) premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh, won “Best Film” at the Worcester Film Festival and was invited to screen in Luxembourg, where it was introduced by the Irish Ambassador. He is also an award-winning published poet.
