Carlos is a professionally frustrated screenwriter, and Irene is not sure what she wants to do with her life. When Irene meets Carlos at a coffee shop, she approaches him and, although she doesn't know him, proposes to play a game.
Francisco and his closest friends play on a soccer team that has reached its lowest point. They’ve got to win one of the next three games to keep the school from cutting their team altogether. A series of strange events take place in the first two games. Coincidence? Conspiracy? Spain, 1950s. The corpse of an unknown person appears in the town square of Bocentellas, within the mythical territory of Región. The inhabitants will ask for help to Captain Medina, young officer in command of a nearby military fort, until the arrival of the judge.
Aijón and Caspas are two aspiring filmmakers in their 20s despite having a huge lack of resources, ideas and contacts. Inexplicably, a woman named Carla (the source of sexual tension in the film) agrees to help them.
