Benedikt Bösel was an investment banker, but then the financial crisis hit and with it the question of meaning. Today, he is a farmer, a visionary and leads a young team that is testing a radical new type of agriculture in the fight against climate change.

On the morning of his hundredth birthday, Fanny finds her grandfather dead in his bed. As she and her family are forced to deal with the death, a bitter dispute over the inheritance erupts, in which old power relations are reversed.

When you have to bury the dead, 'cause you can't make a living as a dairy farmer anymore and vegan hippies try to find their peace in a hidebound village, life starts to reveal its absurdity. The documentary sooner or later tells the tragicomic story of a villages' struggle for the future.
