The 95th NHK Asadora is about Sumire, a girl born in the uptown of Kobe in the early Showa period. In the wake of wartime devastation, she works hard toward making children's clothes for a living, and later establishes a first-ever children's goods store in Japan. -- NHK

The series is based on the manga Tokusatsu Gagaga, a comedy manga by Tanba Niwa. Tokusatsu Gagaga series follows Kano Nakamura, an office lady played by Fuka Koshiba, who is secretly a tokusatsu otaku, a toku-ota. She lives her life by the code of tokusatsu heroes and often envisions herself as one as a means to make it through her daily struggles.

Miwa Kubota is a 29-year old movie fanatic who just got fired from her dead-end job. She saw that her favorite actor, the world-renowned Takahashi Yakai, is looking for a housekeeper. Even though she is totally unqualified, she goes there anyway. When she saw the new hire get into an accident outside his door, Miwa steps in to become the "pretend" housekeeper for her idol.

In order for her to get custody of her son, she decides to work at a luxurious hotel, and there she meets the young heir of the hotel, Takaoka Yuusuke, and starts to have feelings for him.

A young man from Myanmar who loves Japanese comics gets an opportunity to study them in Japan. He gets surprised at expensive house rent in Japan but finally finds an apartment with very cheap rent. However, it turns out that a female ghost lives in his room. He cannot give up the cheap rent and determines to share the room with the ghost. This is a story of his life in Japan surrounded by the ghost and other unique characters having various issues.
