Diganta Mazumdar

A rich family searches for a husband for their daughter. The father wants his daughter to get married to his friend's son who lives in a village but the mother and daughter prefer a NRI boy.

Barsaranya is set in the backdrop of one of India`s richest rain forests situated in the East. The film attempts to portray the natural ambiance of the rain forest, the conflict arising out of man`s greed to gain from the forest in excess of what it has naturally been providing. It follows the story of a dedicated forester who alone stands up to fight the evils of corruption and greed.
