'Time of Wonder' is a combination of documentary and fiction short film. Documentary reveals the life story of writer Franc Ksaver Mesko, his creative work and love for his nation. Short film 'Beyond Home' is a blend of Mesko's different works, characters and stories; and is finally inserted into the 'Time of Wonder' documentary. In the documentary the word is given to different historians, professors, family members, modernists, parishioners and others, whose life might have met with Mesko in one way or another.

The life of the martyr Alojzij Grozde, from his childhood in a poor rural environment to his life as a promising student and finally his tragic death. The film combines dramatized re-enactments, interviews with experts and historians, and testimonies of those who came into contact with Grozde, shedding light on his character and the ideals he was committed to.

Archbishop Anton Vovk lived his vocation with strong faith and devotion, conscious of his mission in the then challenging, epochal times. The documentary traces his life and work, portraying the man he truly was: brave, con dent, and at the same time gentle and caring. Using a modern language of cinema combined with original score and unique footage, the film helps the gure of Anton Vovk enter common knowledge and collective memory.
