The story of the friendship between a truck driver and a shoeshine boy who occasionally becomes his assistant when they travel together from the agro-industrial area of Santa Cruz to the high Andean basin of La Paz in a truck named "Mi Socio".

A young father takes his son on a journey away from Buenos Aires and through the strange and wondrous world of rural South America. The man is unemployed and separated from the boy's mother. The trip teaches the man to rediscover both the world outside urban Argentina, and also to rediscover his son.

A former soccer player whose son is in the hospital waiting for an organ transplant and, in his desperation to get money to access a quick surgery, he gets involved in a case of human trafficking.

Racial, social and cultural aspects of La Paz (called Chuquiago by the Aymaras) seen through four stories.

Vito (at present 70 years old) continues in his random adventures: blackmailed by the Patron, a fearsome drug trafficker who Vito managed to lock up in a maximum security prison, now lives hidden in a small Amazonian town. Gone are the glorious days of truck driver with his truck "My Partner". When Vito finally is placed by the son of the Patron, and is in serious trouble, he has no choice but to seek the help of his former assistant Brillo through his daughter Camila.
