In 2004, after 174 years in which political power was always held by one or other of the parties on the right, a historic change at last became possible in Uruguay. This documentary was filmed in the days coming up to the election, and it shows how the common people saw their country. The main protagonist is the man in the street. With humour, with intense emotions, with a lot of dignity and a passion for politics, these Uruguayans show how proud they are to be playing a role in their country's history.

More than fifty years after its making, we return to the set of Jean Cocteau's 1946 film "La Belle et la Bete" (Beauty and the Beast). Included are interviews with the the lead actors, the cinematographer, along with excerpts read from the director's journal.

In a dystopian future, Lucía, a young philosophy student, secludes herself in her grandparents' summer house. Her solitude is only hindered by the ‘Sistema Único de Salud’, which summons her for a new compulsory vaccination that she does not want to comply with, and she has only five days to solve the problem. Time moves forward between memories and encounters that Lucía has with her partner, her best friend and an unexpected visitor. In a poetic key, the film proposes a reflection on individual freedom and freedom of thought as the last trench in the face of a coercive system.

This is a movie about Uruguayans who want to make fiction films. We visited various filmmakers seeking to capture the enormous diversity of stories, realities, and sensibilities through the scripts they are writing. We get to know their neighborhoods and homes, and then we get closer to the ways in which each of them adapt the fantasies that have been born in their minds and hearts. In this way, we portray how they experience cinema and what would mean for them to make their film come true.
