Malhação is a Brazilian television series for the teenage audience. The soap started in 1995, and was set in a fictional Gym Club called Malhação on Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Through the years the location varied slightly. Although the name of the soap remains the same, it is now set in the Múltipla Escolha High School.
Maria Esperança is a Brazilian telenovela produced by SBT and originally broadcast from March 26 to August 7, 2007. It is a Brazilian adaptation of the Mexican telenovela MarĂa Mercedes (1992), created by ValentĂn Pimstein and based on the original story Enamorada by InĂ©s Rodena. Adapted by Yves Dumont, with text supervision by Henrique Zambelli and Thereza di Giácomo, the telenovela stars Bárbara Paz and Ricardo Ramory. The story follows Maria, a humble young woman who sells flowers on the streets to support her family. Her life changes when she meets Eduardo, a wealthy man who marries her to protect his inheritance and challenge his greedy relatives. After his death, Maria becomes the heir to his fortune and faces the hostility of those who want to take everything from her. Amid secrets, betrayals, and family conflicts, she discovers love and learns to fight for her happiness.
In Rome, Armando confesses to Father Guido Bellini that he is being hunted by a criminal organization led by a young man with paranormal powers. Some time later, Guido discovers that Armando has died and, feeling guilty for not having tried to prevent the man's murder, decides to leave the priesthood and return to Brazil. In the city of SĂŁo Paulo, Guido dedicates himself to the study of paranormal phenomena in order to combat the organization led by CĂ©sar Zapata and his son Fred, the powerful young man to whom Armando referred. To confront the Zapatas, Guido relies on the help of Alef, also a paranormal young man who does not yet have full control of his powers. Alongside his fight against the criminal organization, Guido has a romance with DĂ©bora, Alef's mother. His main opponent, CĂ©sar, also likes DĂ©bora and does everything to separate her from Guido. He wages a veritable war against the former priest, using Fred's evil powers.
Amor e Revolução is a Brazilian telenovela produced by SBT and originally broadcast from April 5, 2011, to January 13, 2012. Created by Tiago Santiago, with collaboration from Renata Dias Gomes, Miguel Paiva, and Eliana Garcia, and directed by Reynaldo Boury, the telenovela stars Graziella Schmitt, Cláudio Lins, and LĂşcia VerĂssimo. The production was the first Brazilian telenovela to portray the period of the military dictatorship as its main theme. Set between the 1960s and 1970s, the story follows Maria PaixĂŁo, a young woman involved in the armed resistance against the military regime, and JosĂ© Guerra, a military officer who secretly opposes the government's actions. Despite being on opposite sides of the political conflict, they fall in love and face persecution, violence, ideological disagreements, and personal tragedies while fighting for their ideals and their relationship during one of the most turbulent periods in Brazilian history.
Pequena Travessa is a Brazilian telenovela produced by SBT and originally broadcast from November 4, 2002, to April 15, 2003. It is an adaptation of the Mexican telenovela Mi pequeña traviesa, based on the original Argentine story Me llaman Gorrión by Abel Santa Cruz. Adapted by Rogério Garcia, with collaboration from Ecila Pedroso and Simoni Boer, the telenovela stars Bianca Rinaldi and Rodrigo Veronese. The story follows Júlia, a determined young woman who is forced to put aside her dream of attending college after her father is left paralyzed in an accident. Disguising herself as a boy to find work and support her family, she secretly sleeps inside a department store because she cannot afford a place to live. There she meets Alberto, the wealthy heir to the business, and the two fall in love while facing misunderstandings, family conflicts, social differences, and the schemes of those determined to keep them apart.
