Two friends want to stay awake as long as possible - without drugs. C. and Nike are 17, but pretend to be 20. They want to get out. Get out of the confines of the suburbs. They want to feel themselves.

Karo is freshly separated and is struggling with her nonexistent relationship with her father. When her mother wants to go on vacation with her to Rügen, Karo suspects there is again some failed love affair behind it.

Since Fanny senses that a boundary was crossed during sex with Oskar, she wants to process what happened and travels to see him at the Baltic Sea. The idyll with the charismatic man slowly begins to crumble when several humiliations throw him off balance and Fanny refuses to make up for them.
