At 90 years young, he will once again build a birch bark canoe to teach his technique to Todd Labrador, a Mi'kımaq Indian from Nova Scotia. All while being a renowned artisan, he is today a loved canadian elder of the Algonquin nation, spiritual leader known for his inexhaustible drive to sustain indigenous nations all over the world, and his work toward global interracial peace and the protection of Mother Earth. During the 10 days of the canoe's construction, while sharing his daily life, we get to know William, his sense of humour, his personality, and his teachings. All with the simplicity and humility of an ordinary man, he's nevertheless quite extraordinary. Born on the eve of the First World War, he sees the end of his life approaching but nonetheless doesn't low his pace to improve the world in which he was brought to life.
