Renowned Turkish painter Osman Hamdi Bey's "In Front of the Green Mosque" is sold to a private foundation for a hefty sum but is stolen during the transfer. An underground network attempts to smuggle it from a decaying warehouse, unwittingly bringing together a group of strangers with clashing motives. Among them are criminals, vengeful lovers, a grieving bird breeder, a runaway banker, and a kidnapped taxi driver. Unaware of the larger scheme, they find themselves entangled in a high-stakes clash over stolen art.

Ten years old Cemil runs away from his stepfather who tortures him and his mother and ends up in Istanbul. Veli Firat Tanis, the leader of a gang which Cemil takes refuge in Haydarpasa, tries to send him back to his home by putting his pocket money. While the gang gather money for Cemil, they, at the same time, suffer from harsh living conditions. In the mean time Cemil's mother Münevver comes to Istanbul in the hope of finding her son.

Restless and young, best buddies Selim and Çaça live a meager existence on the outskirts of Istanbul. By day they breed pigeons on the roof, by night they roam the streets with their entourage in their pimped-up car, "My Orange Angel". The political drama "Zincirbozan" was written by journalist Avni Özgürel, and depicted the period between 1979 and 1983, the most tumultous years in the recent Turkish history. Zincirbozan shows a chronology of the most significant events in this period , such as the assassination of the famous journalist Abdi İpekçi, the escalating terrorism in the run up to the 1980 military coup, the futile attempts of politicians to stop the turmoil and terror on the streets, the military taking over the government, and the exiling of the political figures, and depicts the period with new insights into its less known aspects. The movie is named after the Zincirbozan military complex in the city of Çanakkale, where the leading politicans of the period were interned.

Yaşar, Apo, Kovboy Ali, Cevat, and Ertuğrul's only goal in life is to fill their stomachs and never be separated from their greatest passion, wine, even for a single day. These five people, who live day to day, know how to take advantage of the stormy political atmosphere of the time to achieve their goals. These five homeless individuals living on the streets find themselves facing a curfew on the morning of September 12, 1980. However, the only "home" they can go to is the streets themselves. As a result of a series of comedic misunderstandings, they find themselves imprisoned alongside political prisoners in the same jail.
