Biography
Olivér Hegyi (1989, Szeged, Hungary) is an independent animation filmmaker living in Budapest, Hungary. From 2011 to 2017, he studied animation at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, Budapest (MOME). He received his BA in 2014, and MA in 2017.

A boy and a girl are on a date in an amusement park. The boy is super lame, the girl is super phlegmatic. They get on a rollercoaster, but the operator makes a mistake so the car goes mad.

Vajk, a deaf teenager, controls his connection to the world through his hearing aid. His older brother drags him out of his comfort zone and takes him to a concert by a mysterious band. In the crowd, he loses control and gives himself over to the rhythm as he discovers his inner voice.

The movie is a presentation of a breakup, and everything after that: the boy is hesitant, the girl gets bored with it, the boy meets the girl’s new boyfriend, which is a bit more shocking than it was expected, the boy wants to escape, he believes his life is over, then they meet again, and fall in love again, but in the end they have to admit, that it really doesn’t work.
