Biography

James Cipperly, better known by his ring name Orange Cassidy, is an American professional wrestler and wrestling trainer who debuted in 2004 with Ground Breaking Wrestling (GBW). He signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in 2019 and is a two-time AEW International Champion, with his first reign lasting a record 326 days. The “Orange Cassidy” persona, partly inspired by Paul Rudd’s character in Wet Hot American Summer (2001), is known for his laid-back “Sloth Style,” portraying a wrestler who competes only when he has to, with Cipperly describing the mindset as: “If I have to wrestle, I’ll wrestle… it’s like one of those things, you have a job, you’re good at it, but do you really wanna?”
