Koki, a gardener in Guatemala City, hides a secret: he is a vampire. By day he lives with his wife, and young son; by night he feeds in the shadows. Together, the parents try to shield the boy from the curse. But when the hunger awakens in him, something irreversible occurs, sealing a tragic inheritance.

In the township of Mphopomeni in the KwaZulu-Natal region of South Africa, Siyabonga, a young man, puts up theatre plays. When he hears about a movie that will be shot in a nearby town, he makes it his mission to be part of it. From conspiring with a maid to steal wifi from the “umlungus” (white people) so he can write an email to the film producers to using witchcraft, Siyabonga does all he can to improve his life and take control of his fortune. And after travelling many surprising roads, he’ll finally meet the film’s director. Siyabonga is born out of their encounter.

It is modern day South Africa. The country ails from social unrest and constant protests. One of the many bearing witness to this time is Amanda, a young woman from Mpophomeni Township, who struggles to take care of her sick mother whilst trying to overcome the trauma of a sexual assault.

Mert, a 30-year-old male, is employed at an abandoned-looking amusement park, grappling with an internal duality, while sensing a lurking identity bent on undermining him. Throughout the film, Mert interacts with various people and creatures, struggling to understand what's going wrong with his mental health. Despite his persistent pursuit of answers, Mert confronts a daunting struggle to delve into the depths of his psyche, hindered by a hesitancy to fully confront the mysteries within.

The city’s loneliness is immense for James, an Indigenous teenager fighting to preserve his happiness and innocence amidst the urban vastness. As he struggles not to feel abandoned, he begins to realize that forging his path requires him to trample on others.

Aslan, a young insecure fisherman who lives on a Turkish island, finds a valuable lobster cave while diving. Knowing this treasure will bring him wealth and the prestige that he has never had in his society, he decides to keep it a secret from his cousin and best friend Yilmaz until he can properly harvest the lobsters by himself. By not sharing the secret, Yilmaz's growing suspicion conjures a series of paranoid obsessions that thrust him into a downward spiral.
