Two young Mexican attorneys attempt to exonerate a wrongly convicted man by making a documentary. In the process, they expose the contradictions of a judicial system that presumes suspects guilty until proven innocent.

In Macuspana, Tabasco, an old woman is kidnapped. Four men are arrested. When tortured they confess the crime. But then the authorities realize that the same kidnapping was already solved by federal police and that there are even people accused of that crime. Who are the real responsible?

The documentary deals with the injustice and negligence of the Mexican authority. All this is shown through the people who have been victims of this situation. The film shows CIDE statistics that will leave the viewer impacted and give a broader view of the reality surrounding the Mexican justice system. Also, you can see different points of view of experts who comment on the subject, and even provide a solution. Most agree that the system is retrograde and needs to be updated, as was the case in Chile, which is currently governed by a different justice system and applies oral trial.
