Jim Davis is an ex-Army Ranger who finds himself slipping back into his old life of petty crime after a job offer from the LAPD evaporates. His best friend is pressured by his girlfriend Sylvia to find a job, but Jim is more interested in hanging out and making cash from small heists, while trying to get a law enforcement job so he can marry his Mexican girlfriend.

A group of childhood friends, now in their thirties, reunite at Camp Tamakwa. Only a few of the original campers show up, but they still have a good time reminiscing. The people share experiences and grow while at the camp. They are dismayed to discover that the camp's owner, Unca Lou, is going to close the camp down.

A recently-orphaned 12 year old boy moves to a new town to live with his aunt and uncle, and finds an unlikely mentor in the town loner, who helps him build the soap box racer he dreamed of crafting with his dad.

Explores today's music business and tries to figure out what happened to the great soul music of yesteryears; focusing on the changes within the label system with the advent of technology, social media and sampling. The emerging indie movement has resulted in an onslaught of quickly produced rap and hip hop songs that are taking over the industry.

In the cold streets of Charlotte, where murder is on the rise, a drug deal gone wrong has now created a who done it in the city with the cops chasing the city's notorious Thugs.
