The Qiaotou youth LI Wen-hsin was arrested during the December 10, 1979, demonstration spearheaded by Formosa Magazine. After being thrown into prison, he learned a way to survive: mixing saltwater with white rice. He also recalled wonderful times with his girlfriend A-chun, the joys and suffering he shared with friends and family, and his longing for democracy. In this prison, referred to by inmates as the “Hotel Saltwater,” Wen-hsin and his companions, though suffering greatly, never let their thirst for freedom be extinguished.

Set in the near future, “Dream Raider” features a misfit team of scientists and cops that are trying to get to the bottom of a criminal conspiracy that exploits human consciousness.

One day, the members noticed Ju Gan with a sad face. After asking, they realized that he couldn’t solve his case. The members noted that without any idea of where the deceased was, of course the truth could not be discovered. Then out of the blue, Ju Gan had an idea where he invited the members of the club to the scene of the crime and each one plays the victim to see if this would help the police solve the case. Suddenly, a homicide took place in the neighborhood. With her vast knowledge of different types of knives from working at the fruit stand, the fruit stand owner while assisting the police reenact the crime discovered that the suspect was still hiding some details. Together along with Ju Gan, the other members of the club helped the police to eventually uncover and solve the case.

Wu De High School was once famous for its baseball team. However, as the trump card coach Xu Lei left 20 years ago, the glory and honor of this school were gone. The baseball team and its students lost their hope and good tradition, now going down day by day. The headmaster of the school wants to find the old coach who now lives in a slum to save the baseball team and the school. To trick Xu Lei back, the master even told a story of his lover. Finally, Xu Lei decided to accept the invitation and join the team again. However, things seem not so simple like that.
