A young girl is deprived of her baby: her descent into hell begins. Still in high-school, Agnès leaves her alcoholic father, finds a boyfriend and gets pregnant. Giving birth to a baby boy, deprived of him by her her stepmother, left by her boyfriend, she find shelter by junkies friends and subsequently turns to prostitution under the name Sabine only to become HIV-positive. In her diary, the young woman recounts her fight against the disease without ever sinking into despair.

(Nadia), who was born and raised in (France), returns to (Iraq) to rediscover her roots and origins. During this journey, (Nadia) gradually uncovers the story of her grandfather, Haj (Najm) Al-Baqal, the owner of the date shop, and the man who was one of the prominent leaders of the revolution in (Najaf) against British colonialism in 1918. The film sheds light on the impact that Haj (Najm) Al-Baqal's struggle left on the people of (Najaf).

In this very light romantic comedy, two young men who are in search of the hypothetical perfect woman believe they have found her at a wedding reception. There, they see Lisa. Alexandre is the shy one, but he is also the one with the greatest yen to meet such a woman. He and Romain track Lisa down the next day and, though she is already dating someone, when Romain approaches her, she agrees to meet the two of them at a restaurant. They are dismayed when the part-Italian girl brings her mother with her as a chaperone. Other difficulties arise as well, and they resolve that this quest is less important than their friendship. Besides, Alexandre has by now discovered the charms of Romain's younger sister.

For a few months I investigated. I went to see sedentary people. I asked them to tell me about their life, about the schedule of their days. These are people who spend their lives at home. Whether they have to or not is not important. What matters here is how they cope with their lot what they do with it, don't do with it. How they find or do not find their salvation far from their neighbors.
