In the late 1960s, two young sisters, Ramona and Helga, emigrate from the countryside to the city. Upon arriving in Santiago, Chile, they start a clandestine business selling wine in a camp that is being built in the outskirts of the city.

Mary and Mike are a couple of elite agents from the Chilean secret police, DINA. Their job is to eliminate opposition leaders who from abroad articulate resistance to the fierce military dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet. In her public life, Mary is a writer and she relates with the most outstanding members of Santiago's cultural life. Mike, is a talented "gringo" for electronics. They live with their children Cony and Simon in the suburbs of Santiago where they tend to give crowded parties. But as they celebrate, in the backyard of their home they torture, murder and experiment with weapons of mass destruction.

A story fragmented in three parts: Marina an ordinary girl, Marie a transsexual girl and Maxine a New Age style hippie girl. All three immerse themselves in a unique job, which is led by Stefano, a mysterious man who creates thematic, the girls they must smoke opium and sleep. After a while, Maxine discovers a sordid plan of old traditions and where the only thing that remains is to escape before they are eliminated.

A couple decides to end their relationship and look for the perfect way to tell their son Samir, who surprises them, because he actually knows a lot more than they think they do about what is happening.
