Guru Deshpande

Raja Huli is a 2013 Indian Kannada-language comedy-drama film directed by Guru Deshpande and written by S. R. Prabhakaran. Produced by K. Manju's home production, the film is a remake of the Tamil film Sundarapandian (2012) which was produced and enacted by M. Sasikumar. The film stars Yash and Meghana Raj in the lead roles. The soundtrack and score for the film is composed by Hamsalekha. The film, which made its theatrical release on 1 November 2013, co-inciding with the Kannada Rajyotsava festival

Padde Huli tells one such story of a college guy who is torn between his true love and passion for music. Sampath is a happy-go-lucky guy from a middle-class family. His parents are very encouraging. For Sampath, music is his life and his parents always push him to pursue his passion. After school, Sampath joins engineering with his best friend. Incidentally, his sweetheart from school Sangeetha also joins the same college. Sampath confesses his love and Sangeetha reciprocates. The story trudges along the familiar campus life arc - with ragging scenes, clashes with seniors and colourful college events.

In the midst of a happy relationship, a couple encounters a bad turn in their lives. Will they be able to overcome the obstacles or will the worst times await them?

Rudra Tandava follows a timid young man who has a loving family. When his brother, a government official, is murdered, the protagonist and his father plans to take revenge in their own separate ways.

John Jani Janardhan is a 2016 Kannada comedy drama film directed by Guru Deshpande. It features Ajay Rao, Yogesh and Krishna in the lead roles, while the debutant Kamna Ranawat feature as the female lead. It also features actress Malashri in an important role.

The film follows the story of a man suffering from a rare disorder called the Sleeping Beauty Syndrome (aka Kleine-Levin syndrome), which leads to excessive sleepiness and leaves him awake for less than five hours a day.
