Poor Nastya is a Russian telenovela originally aired from 31 October 2003 to 30 April 2004 on the STS. Based on the imperial setting of the 19th century, the series reached international success and was shown in Ukraine, China, Israel, Serbia, Georgia, Greece, Bulgaria and more than twenty countries worldwide. With the budget of $11,8million, it is the most expensive Russian television project of all time. The sequel was planned, but had not been made yet.

After the death of Alexey Gradov, the owner of a large construction holding company, his heirs enter into a struggle for a billion-dollar fortune with a former official and business partner of the deceased. On the family side, the war is led by Gradov Sr., the patriarch of the family, who founded the family business in the 90s, but retired. As an ally, he takes the financier and strategist of the company Nadezhda, who was not only a colleague, but also his son's mistress. In addition to the redistribution of assets, the Gradovs — wives, children, grandchildren — are busy identifying old grievances and accumulated claims against each other. They have everything—money, power, connections, status. But that's not enough for them. In the pursuit of inheritance, they are ready to tear apart not only the enemies of the family, but also each other.

The series is set in the 1920s. It tells about the first tasks of Isaev. First, he goes to Reval to stop the smuggling of valuables stolen from Gokhran. Upon his return, he is sent to Vladivostok to collect information about the actions of the whites. Then he has to go abroad to monitor counterrevolutionary emigration.

Lieutenant Doronin and his troops are moved to a narrow mountain pass. The task seems simple: to defend the pass from the insurgents and not let them pass. Harsh dramatic events separate the characters, their life paths diverge, and they lose each other for many, many years. Vanka Kotov becomes a test pilot, Zhenya Lugovaya becomes a military surgeon. One day, fate brings the heroes together again...

Set in the Soviet Union in the 1930s, it tells the story of Sasha Pankratov, a student and loyal Komsomol member from the Arbat neighborhood of Moscow who is unfairly exiled to Siberia. As his family and friends, including his love interest Varya Ivanova, grapple with Sasha's sudden detention and departure, the series shows the growing fear and paranoia that gripped Moscow in the years before the murder of Sergey Kirov and the start of Stalin's Great Purge.

The little daughter of the famous pianist Konstantin Zobnin disappears in the city, and then the body of another missing girl is found. At the same time, a successful businessman, obsessed with obsessive desires, seeks help from a talented psychiatrist Alexei, who will be forced to conduct his own investigation in parallel with the official one.

A lonely girl, Vera, lives by studying and taking care of her sixteen-year-old brother. Vera tries to replace both her mother and father, who have been missing for several years, for a difficult teenager. As a gift of fate, an adult man, a successful businessman-builder, bursts into her life. Passion and high romantic flight turn into a tragedy for Vera: businessman Maxim turns a large-scale financial scam around the girl, after which she becomes the main person involved in the criminal case.
