Gustavo Saavedra

Grandpa is about to turn 80. His son and grandsons begin a journey to his homeland, Huamachuco, a place he has not seen since he was 9 years old. Along the way they discover an unexpected past and the journey will become a path of no return.

This documentary explores the development of the project "The Word of the Mute," created by Jota Castro. It was a symbolic manifesto addressing communication barriers and the need for inclusion, developed within the framework of the 5th Summit of Heads of State and Government of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) – EU. The film documents the project's process, which aimed to promote international relations and dialogue among the LAC-EU member countries.
