Kintaro Yajima comes to Tokyo and is hired by Yamato Construction Company when he saves the life of the company's CEO. A former leader of a motorcycle gang, Kintaro is known for his highly principled and forthright way of dealing with matters and is never afraid to tell his superiors exactly what he thinks. This has a tendency of irritating some; but when corruption from within the company begins to surface, he may be the only one who can stand up to it.
Akiho Takeda is assigned to #3 investigation team for The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. On her first day at work, a burglary takes place at a jewelry store in Shibuya. The case though is taken by the #1 investigation team which Akiho hoped to join. Nevertheless, Akiho goes secretly to the jewelry store where the theft took place. Later, a safe at a jewelry store in Roppongi is broken into. Stolen from the safe is the diamond called "Besu". The "Besu" is one of three diamonds that makes up the "Kuraida Family's Three Sisters". The other two diamonds are "Ani" and "Kyasari". The diamond "Ani" was stolen from the jewelry store in Shibuya, that occurred a few days earlier. Several people believe the two diamond thefts were done by the same person(s), but Akiho mentions the techniques used by thieves are different. Yet, Akiho believes there must be a connection between the two cases.
Kumiko Yoshikawa joins the Big Wing company at Tokyo International Airport. It's her first day and she is full of enthusiasm, but that leads her into trouble.
Ichiro Numata (Hiroaki Murakami) is the chief editor of a publishing company. He suddenly falls unconscious and is hospitalized, but various cases takes place at the hospital. Hospital Director Kenichiro Asashima and Chief Nurse Junko Amemiya goes missing. There are rumors that they were in a close relationship. Head of Drug Management, Yasuharu Horimura is found dead. Rumors were that he stalked Junko Amemiya. The investigation into his dead is carried out as a suicide case, but Detective Eiji Kirishima (Takanori Jinnai) suspects foul play. Ichiro Numata follows with his sharp eyes what transpires at the hospital and he also holds a secret.

Seiran Gakuen is an exclusive private boys' high school. It's the start of the summer break and Yoshikuni has decided to spend this year's summer at the school's Shoraikan dormitory, as have Mitsuhiro, Kanji and Iwatsuki. All four boys have their own reasons for not going home. Yoshikuni's girlfriend is Hiroko, but with his own reasons, he tells her he doesn't want to see her for a while. Hiroko isn't satisfied with this but Yoshikuni keeps on avoiding her. On their first day, Yoshikuni and Mitsuhiro set out to buy food for dinner. They bumped into Osamu, a day student. Hiroko and her friend Aki turns up. Aki asks Yoshikuni why he dumped Hiroko for no apparent reason. Hiroko can't take it any more and bursts into tears. Takagi who lives in the dormitory next door sees this. Some days later, Mitsuhiro's step-mother Keiko visits the Shoraikan dormitory. He is cold-hearted towards her, like a different person.
