A powerful life takeoff. A career breakthrough. A renewed passion in a relationship with a wonderful, smart, beautiful wife. Moving to the elite quarter, to the "thickets" of the local provincial paradise. Victor is showered with gifts of fate, he is happy to an incredible extent. Why is it so difficult for him to accept these gifts?

After a two-year absence Valentin returns home and finds his sister Alisa in a deranged state. It turns out that the girl has long been on the needle. Brother is trying to pull the sister of drug hell, but, unfortunately, Alice dies of an overdose. From that moment Valentin declares ruthless war on drug dealers.

Tolla is an unemployed translator whose wife is leaving him. Despondent and weak, he submits to the suggestion of an acquaintance to have a contract placed on the man that his wife is seeing. Instead, however, he arranges for the hit to be placed on himself. Before the contract is executed, he develops a relationship with a prostitute, and then changes his mind. In order to survive he takes the obvious course of action, which turns out to have possibly been unnecessary, and then he must deal with the guilt.

Young revolutionary carried out the attack. She is waiting for a death sentence. Police warden who arrested girl, gives his little son a quite unusual birthday present - takes the boy to the execution.
