Allsång på Skansen is a Swedish tv show held at Skansen, Stockholm, every summer on Tuesdays. The audience is supposed to sing-along with musical guests to well-known Swedish songs. The show started in 1935 on a small scale - about fifty people in the audience. Today about 10 000–25 500 people come to each performance.

"Så mycket bättre" is the Swedish version of the format "Beste Zangers". This is asinging reality show where each artist attempts to do their own version of another artists well-known songs, with each person getting an episode featuring all of their songs being performed by the other musicians. The artists spend eight days together at a hotel in Gotland, where they attempt to put their own stamps on the songs.

Events range from escalated food prices in Skärholmen, the escape of fifteen prisoners from Kumlaanstalten, Sweden's first hijacking, and an Olympic year in Munich, marked by both Swedish success and tragedy with the attack on 11 Israeli athletes. The year also sees emigration to Australia, refugee intake from Idi Amin's Uganda, sports achievements, music releases, and daily life routines throughout various Swedish towns.
