In the depths of a snowy forest in an unknown wartime, two soldiers from opposing armies try to outwit each other in a perilous game of cat and mouse - until they find themselves outplayed by destiny.

Set in the French speaking Swiss town Chatel, this movie follows the story of an orange shark eating the townsfolk and a poor kid who only wanted a friend. The shark was summoned by a cult of soccer fans who leave it offerings like Toblerone bars, clocks, and other found objects.

Nicole, 55, and her mother Alberte, 87, live together in a villa on the shores of Lake Geneva. Through their habits, they become trapped in codependency: Nicole seems incapable of autonomy, while Alberte is terrified at the idea of being alone. But as she grows closer to Lauren, her filmmaker niece, Nicole begins to explore the possibility of emancipation.
