A village in the Black Sea region is under the influence of a curse. A couple decides to stop the sad story of lovers who have not been able to meet for hundreds of years under the influence of the charm, even if they are the children of enemy families.

Bizum Hoca is a Black Sea native who, despite not completing his education, is self-taught. He learned everything he knows about religious scholarship from his father, Ahmet Fevzi Hoca, an Islamic scholar. After losing his wife Makbule, Bizum Hoca has not let anyone into his life and is a person whom everyone consults for advice. A cheerful and jovial individual, the teacher also focuses on the spirituality of the Islamic faith. He teaches his congregation that being a moral and conscientious person is as important and universal a value as worship. However, there are those in the congregation who do not agree with what Bizum Hoca says.

Sezai, a novelist suffering from burnout syndrome, wants to take a nice vacation and clear his head by cashing in the 3-5 jugs of loose change he has collected as a hobby. When he takes the loose change to the bank with porters, it turns out that most of it is counterfeit. He ends up in prison, where he escapes. After the escape, he meets Kazım, the leader of a group of beggars, who offers him a job. Based on the principle that "the best money is in the best story," Kazım asks him to write stories for the beggars. One of these beggars is his stepdaughter Işıl. Sezai, an educated gentleman with a foreign education, becomes the anti-hero of an unexpected world as a result of the misfortune that began with the broken coins.

One of Istanbul's old neighborhoods wakes up to the news of Binnaz Hanım's death. Binnaz is the mother of Birol and Şenol. Shocked by her death, Binnaz Hanım regains consciousness after a while. Hilmi, a fake imam, leads the funeral prayer. Upon seeing that Binnaz Hanım has regained consciousness, Hilmi, Birol, and Şenol decide to rob a bank, taking Eda along with them. They hide the stolen money inside the coffin, disguised as funeral decorations, and set off for the cemetery. The fake imam tries to outsmart his friends and take the money for himself.
