Biography
Simon Rieth was born in Paris in 1995 and grew up in Montpellier. By the age of 26 he had already made 6 short films (Feu mes frères, Saint-Jean, screened at Premiers Plans, Sans amour, whose screenplay was read at the Festival in 2018, Marave Challenge...) which all had screenings and won awards in dozens of festivals, notably the BFI Future Film Festival, the Beijing International Film Festival, the MECAL Barcelona IFF and the FIFIB. His first feature, Nos cérémonies, produced by Les Films du Poisson, had its world premiere as the only French film in competition at the 2022 Critics' Week.
