Ao Som do Chamamé

To commemorate the anniversary of the city where he lives, a theater director must stage a play on a great actress from the past that will bring to mind German colonization in the nineteenth century. Resolved he will win the part as main character, the actor who is to play the part of colonizer subverts the director?s script, and introduces scenes on ethnocide and Nazism into the text. These subjects are even today to be avoided in that prosperous valley in the south of Brazil. His attitude obliges the director to stage a play different from the one that had been written for the occasion.
