The film is about dramatic revolutionary events happened in 1918 in Baku.

A young woman has been murdered in one of the apartments. Prosecutor Babaev goes to the scene of the crime. He must find the killer, Nargiz, and investigate the motive for the crime, together with homicide investigator Yagubov.

The film is about events which has happened with the "Potyomkin" ship.

Novruzali brings a gift from the village to the Khan as usual. The Khan writes a letter to his friend living in Yerevan, promising to come there with his wife and to tidy and heat the house where they will stay. He sends Novruzali to the post office to put the letter in the mailbox. And instructs him not to give it to anyone. Novruzali, who does not know what mail is, puts a letter in the mailbox for the first time in his life. Not knowing the rules, he waits near the mailbox. When the postal worker takes the letters from the mailbox, Novruzali thinks he is a thief and confronts him.

The film's hero is the city's famous barber, Mammadali. He is passionate about his profession. His clients are officials and famous people. A humorous and gentle man by nature, Mammadali has a difficult relationship with his wife. His wife is a teacher, a frivolous woman who looks down on her husband's profession... Although his wife and older son are indifferent toward him, he doesn't make a tragedy out of it; on the contrary, he tries to be understanding. And he has enough love for both his profession and his family. Even when his sixteen-year-old son asks him to leave the house on his birthday, wanting to be alone with his friends, he understands. Despite feeling a momentary disappointment.
