Bent on revenge, a traumatized ex-police officer must infiltrate a yakuza organization by befriending one of the group's most unhinged members.

Misuzu Hara (Nao) works as a high school teacher and prefers to keep a distance from her students. In her past, she was raped by her best friend’s boyfriend Hayafuji after he found out she liked him. She didn't report the crime to the police and she didn't tell anyone else what happened. She still suffers from the trauma from what happened, but she continues to have a forceful relationship with Hayafuji who is now her best friend’s fiancee. One day, a rumor spreads that her student Yuki Niizuma is in a secret affair. Misuzu Hara, as his teacher, has a meeting with him to provide counseling.

An old man and a young woman meet in Tokyo. She knows nothing about him, he thinks he knows her. He welcomes her into his home, she offers him her body. But the web that is woven between them in the space of twenty four hours bears no relation to the circumstances of their encounter.

Meanwhile, due to a female student on the video Gondo secretly shot, an unexpected disturbance is created.

Near-future Tokyo. Kou, through the help of his high school best friend, finds a surprising way to express his mounting frustration at the insidious forces of commercialism that are forcing out the neighbors he cares most about. Initially inspired by a prank that the writer-director Neo Sora (The Chicken, 2020) had pulled on him in his childhood, a sense of warm nostalgia and cold, material reality intermingle to tell a tale set in the not-so-distant future about disappearing spaces and the forces of policing and gentrification that drills this process forward.

Madoka meets her husband's parents, who run a 450-year-old hand fan shop in the center of Kyoto. Together with her artist friend Anzai, they start an essay manga about the traditional shops in the area. On Madoka's first day minding the store alone, she ends up giving an interview to a TV crew and angering quite a lot of people by being a bit too candid. While Madoka is enamored by Kyoto, she has quite a lot to learn about the unsaid rules and the passive-aggressiveness of the local proprietresses.

Tanaka has won a world-renowned advertising award. His old friend Yusaku comes to his company for a job interview, and submits a drawing that looks like Tanaka’s award-winning work, which plunges the company into panic. To resolve the situation, Tanaka visits Yusaku’s house....

Reiko, who has retired from acting, now lives with Masao, an illustrator. Meanwhile, Mitto, a childhood friend and former idol, shows up at the studio of Tamade, a cameraman, bringing her pet Betta fish along. Mitto says she is planning a performance event in order to self-publish a novel. Reiko and Tamade, along with Masao, each become involved in Mitto’s event in their own way. The appearance of Mitto brings a subtle change to the future path the three of them will walk. This is the story of four people and a fish, intertwining their lives in unexpected ways.
