Biography
Gao Linyang (1991, China) is screenwriter and director. His screenplay for On the Border (2018), received a Cannes Short Film Special Distinction by the Jury. He also wrote the screenplay for Striding into the Wind (2020) which premiered at the BFI London Film Festival and was shortlisted at the Cannes Film Festival in 2020 as one of only two finalists among Chinese-language films. His debut feature film as a director, To Love Again (2022), world premiere at IFFR as part of the Tiger Competition, is a story about a couple's funeral arrangements and how people come to terms with their traumatic past.
