Here is the famous opera and ballet theater, the famous ballet school, whose graduates dance at the best stages of the world, and grateful, understanding and appreciating art public. But, probably, not everyone knows that all this began in the difficult years of the Great Patriotic War, when the Kirov (now the Mariinsky) theater and the Vaganovo Ballet School were already evacuated from Molotov, which was already practically blocked by the fascists of Leningrad, to the city of Molotov (then Perm was called). Cardio surgeon Sergey Sukhanov, who has performed more than 20000 operations on the open heart during his career, has always believed that the only values in this world are human life and health. He managed to convince the authorities that the Perm region needed its own cardiological industry and by mid-20000s a huge modern Cardiac Center was to have been built. The government allocated substantial funds for the construction of the Center, but its completion deadline was constantly postponed. Tired of fighting with regional officials, Professor Sukhanov sent on to work in the 200-year-old mansion, housing the old clinic. In late 2011, Sukhanov got an unexpected offer from the Kremlin to head Vladimir Putin's election headquarters.
In their childhood, our heroes became orphans, and it resulted in their mental and social deficiency. For years, they stay inmates of closed psychoneurologic nursing homes: Natasha – for women, Guera and Kolya – for men. Now they’ve got a chance to become self-dependent. Many years ago, Perm composer and real estate agent Valery Gruner wrote a book titled Uncle Gru's Tales and dreamed of publishing it. The book's illustrator, Ukrainian artist Alexander Shults, hoped it would make him a millionaire. Director Konstantin Shitov began filming this story in 2012 but passed away before completing it. The film was finished by his colleague Semyon Sosnin, who completed the project as director and editor.
