The investigator Seyfi Ganiyev runs the case of an illegal mercery shop's head Murad Abiyev, who confessed in embezzlement of one million rubles from public funds. Abiyev is also accused of the murder of an underage girls that occurred in Riga shortly after Abiyev saw her. He denies his guilt, but does not name the perpetrators though he knows them, despite the fact that he is facing the death penalty. The investigator understands that some high-ranking officials stand behind Abiyev, but he has no proof. Ganiyev seeks to obtain from the prisoner the whole truth to bring the criminals to justice.

After the collapse of the Soviet power in the 90s, a chemist scientist in one of Azerbaijan's scientific research institutes obtains a new solution. The scientist examines the positive and negative consequences of the chemical solution. With its help, a certain part of a person's memory can be erased and used in negative activities. At the same time, it can protect people from drug addiction and alcoholism. But the results are not as expected.

The story of the conversion of uncultivated lands in one of the Azerbaijani villages into vineyards, the serious structural changes in agriculture that occur as a result, and the emergence of moral and psychological problems. It also discusses the socio-economic problems facing grape growers in our republic.

The film depicts the events of a family - a mother and two children - against the backdrop of the consequences of the Khojaly tragedy. Zakir's father was martyred in the Karabakh war. He lives with his mother, and his main ideal is to return to the lands for which his father died. The hero, rejecting the voice given to him by God, chooses military school instead of mugham art. Based on a novel by Farman Karimzade, the movie shows the life in an Azerbaijani village under the Soviet rule in 1930s. Here two former "beys" (land owners) are opposing each other. One is loyal to the ideology of the past and can't reconcile himself to the new power, to second rejects the past and accepts the power of the Bolsheviks, believing that it will establish justice.
