When did you last talk with your father? Will you ever ask him about those things that hurt you? In FATHER the reality of life is turned upside down to create an impossible dialogue - the dialogue between a child and a father that never happens.

A film project throwing a bridge between poetry and animation. It visually interprets 6 original contemporary Bulgarian poems, each told in a different manner. Animation has no limits and very much like poetry renders visual symbols and metaphors powerful. Stories of doomed paper boats, intimate links to film genres, petty morning crimes, ice-cream hopes, urban moods, and industrial revelations are interwoven in this visual poetry experience.

A young man is trying to hold his life and career together. He writes. When he learns that his wife is pregnant, everything collapses. He enters the dark space of his fears, where he is confronted by memories of his childhood. He needs to face the absence of his own father and embrace the pain. Only then he is ready to accept his newly born child and become a parent.
