Each short story plays in the same setting with 2 characters, each on their side of the glass of the visitors area from a prison that them (and also the world) divides.

Alain raises his deaf son Milano alone and wants to give him a better life than he has, but despite the best intentions, his failure becomes apparent. Their father-son relationship comes under pressure when Milano wants to meet his biological mother.

MIA tells the story of a home nurse whom we follow on what appears to be an ordinary day. The encounters she has ultimately lead to a confrontation with herself.

Rabot is one of the poorest neighborhoods in Gent. The documentary focusses on the last remaining members living in three tower blocks that are ready to be demolished. It’s a universal parabel about dreams, loneliness and our own indifference.
