Biography

Fradique is a co-founder of Geração 80. He graduated in Cinema in the United States. He is considered one of the most talented and expressive voices in contemporary Angolan cinema. His films have been screened at several international festivals, and he won the Angolan National Film Culture Award for Indepencia (2015), recognized as an important step towards recovering the country's collective memory. In addition, he has directed music videos for Angolan artists such as Nástio Mosquito and Aline Frazão. He is also an alumnus of the Berlinale Talent Campus and the Realness Screenwriting Residency. Fradique's first feature film, "Ar Condicionado," premiered worldwide at the Rotterdam International Film Festival in 2020.
