Guillermo Ruiz

An indigenous leader assumes the defense of a community against a mining company; his determination leads to a personal confrontation with a corrupt government official, that will affect the lives of a journalist (Alicia) and a Kichwa photographer (Sayri).

Fed up with his economic situation and declining health, a small-time boxing agent ventures into an ambitious plan: to convince his Cuban girlfriend to leave the island and accompany him to live in Paraguay, where he plans to set up his boxing show.

A referee who is a Joan Manuel Serrat impersonator in the evenings, a coach who resorts to self-help phrases to motivate the team, an idol player with retirement plans, and a club official who comes up with ideas to help the club survive. What the film narrates is simple and honest: a portrait of the world of the promotion football league in Argentina.
