The World's Greatest Classical Music Festival. The BBC Proms is a classical music festival held every summer at the Royal Albert Hall in London, and in recent years has explored an innovative series of Proms around the UK with concerts in all four nations. Its aim: to bring the best in classical music to the widest possible audience, which remains true to founder-conductor Henry Wood’s original vision in 1895. Public Service Broadcasting – a band who bring wit, invention and multimedia spectacle to the stage – return to the Proms after their previous, staggeringly innovative, 2019 outing, The Race for Space. This time, Public Service Broadcasting join conductor Jules Buckley and the BBC Symphony Orchestra for This New Noise, a world premiere specially commissioned for the BBC’s centenary The band’s use of archive footage, sampling and imaginative musical techniques travels back through a hundred years of broadcasting history, making this a musical event like no other.

Huge hits Dog Days are Over and You've Got the Love feature in this dramatic reimagining of the international star’s groundbreaking first album. Titled Symphony of Lungs, fans flocked from all over the world to this unique concert celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Brit award-winning debut. Captivating everyone in her path, Florence teams up with conductor and arranger Jules Buckley, the London Contemporary Voices choir and an 80+ piece orchestra complete with lute, flute and harpsichord to create a remarkable new soundscape in her only concert of the year.

Tim is joined by Sue Perkins, Susan Bullock (soprano), Danny Driver (piano), Kit and the Widow, Beardyman, The Boy with Tape on his Face, Doc Brown, the Mongrels, the BBC Concert Orchestra, Andrew Litton (guest conductor) and Jules Buckley (music director).
