Biography
Alexey Kamynin (Russian: Алексей Камынин; born 30 April 1989, Moscow) is a Russian filmmaker and producer. He graduated from the faculty of journalism of Moscow State University (MSU) and higher courses of screenwriters and directors (workshop of V. Khotinenko, V. Fenchenko, P. Finn). He worked as a reporter for the TV channels "Russia-1", "Rain", wrote articles for "Elephant", "Russian Reporter"and "GQ". He tried his hand at documentaries, eventually came to feature films, making his debut in 2015 at Kinotavr with the diploma short film "This is Not Me". "Lie or Dare" (2017) is the debut in a feature film. His second feature film was participant of Sochi Open Russian Film Festival "Kinotavr" (2020).
