The 50th anniversary of the Barrandov studios was celebrated with a spectacular show: many directors and other important people gathered in the expensive decorations of the Variety Theatre auditorium (built for the Circus Humberto series). They smiled and showed well-deserved relaxation after a job well done in managing socialist cinema. Vladimir Sís interspersed this with excerpts from films, mainly his own and also a little of others who had worked on the "Hill of Dreams".

While Kendy returns to his hometown as an assistant director to film a thirteen-part series with a television crew, Štěpán Šafránek, equipped with his mother's advice after graduation, takes up his first position - as an intern at the local hospital. However, his inadaptability to local conditions and his sense of ethics in his chosen profession do not suit his other established colleagues. While they are amused by his zeal and responsibility, Štěpán has increasing problems with his superiors, until he is finally transferred to the position of rural district doctor, which everyone rejects. In Bezdíkov, however, he meets a new, perhaps permanent and reciprocated love, with whom he eventually decides to live and work in northern Bohemia.

Helenka, a textile industrial student, invents an ideal man who is the envy of all her friends. The dreamy and delusional Helenka resists her complexes with an imaginary lover, her more realistic friend Zuzka would also prefer the dreamy Patrik, but in the end she will probably be happy with the less ideal Honza, and the self-confident vulgar nymphomaniac Sylva flies from one lover to another like a butterfly, finally as she was the only one waiting for her dream Patrick.

Two people scarred by a wartime past meet again years later during an archaeological dig. But the silent, inaccessible man in particular is reluctant to admit to anyone his harrowing experiences in a Nazi concentration camp, where he was the subject of horrific medical experiments.

A dramatic story about the devastation of the environment and human character.

A family purchases a home robot designed to look like a grandmum. Their neighbours immediately buy a more expensivve model as the two families always try to up the other one. Both grandmums start to "terorize" their families because they were set up to ensure the mums exercise, the kids study etc. Apart from that they start causing problems to the other family ... cut ropes with hanging clothes, pierced tires, etc. Once they get to killing each other family's pets the parents get really worried about the safety of their kids. The grannys later destroy each other while fighting and the families decide that they'll be better off without any robots. (It's some time since I saw this so the details may be off.) Mainly thanks to the design of the robots it's rather a comedy than a horror. Unless you are ten. And a rather good comedy!

Once again, you can take a look behind the scenes of the Riviera Chateau on the Prague periphery, where a brothel for the socialites is hidden under the guise of an exclusive nightclub. The story takes place in 1930 and although several years have passed since the events of the first volume, the passions unleashed by the intrigues of the time have not cooled down. Once again you meet Renata, called Angel, formerly a prostitute, now the wife of the banker Justice and owner of the Riviera. The elegant Madame, who owned the business before and now works there as a mere manager, is plotting new schemes to get back everything she has...

A young woman named Alena discovers her fiancé Pavel's repeated infidelity. After meeting with her former married boyfriend, she loses control of her car and crashes. The result is tragic: severe injuries to her head, spinal cord, and spine. Even after several months, doctors and parents consider her condition hopeless. The only ones who do not lose faith in her recovery are the doctor in the rehabilitation department and her grandmother, who takes care of her. The others cannot cope psychologically with the situation that has changed their lives. Hopelessness and helplessness influence their actions. A fairy tale about a lake in which there are two kingdoms. In the water lily kingdom, they love the sun and are only allowed on the lake during the day, while the lotus kingdom comes alive at night and is ruled by the moon. Just when it seems that the king and his scribe Jakub will have to endlessly tell the princess made-up stories about suitors who like Lolinka very much but cannot marry her for various serious reasons, the charming sorceress Otylka and her clever assistant, posing as Prince Romulus, appear on the scene. However, the two of them still cannot agree on how to divide the royal reward. Fortunately, they argue for so long that Lolinka comes to her senses and decides that Romulus would not be the right groom for her. Don't worry, the best one will be found at the right moment...
