Shila (Yuki Kato), daughter of a fisherman around Lake Toba, wants to go to favorite high school in Medan. But alas, Mother wants her to enter into the pesantren (religious boarding school). Shila complains to Father. This time Father agrees with Mother. Shila disappoints and their relationship is strained. Pesantren’s life is full of activities and disciplined, making Shila difficult to adapt. She becomes homesick. Even so Shila still dreams of being a novelist. Together with his friends, Manda (Febby Blink), Ayesha (Via Blink) and Icut (Vebby Palwinta), she discovers the meaning of true friendship. They even have a "pot of tears", where they keep all of sad and happy tears. Shila’s life at pesantren is decorated with colorful typical problems of adolescence.

Sule's father, a farmer whose not that reach, have fallen into poverty because of the failure to become "Lurah", and become crazy. So Sule has to go to Jakarta asking help to uncle Salim, the brother of his mother who supposedly rich. Instead of getting help, he was being chased and arrested by police because of suspected accomplice of a police fugitive . Since his mother gave him one way ticket to Jakarta, Sule cannot return to the village and must attempt to survive. He also stuck to Parto, a police officers who arrested him. Romlah, Parto's wife is looking for maid, directly recruiting Sule. His job is to take Ririn Parto's first daughter, a junior high school go to her school, or anywhere rides a motorcycles. One day, Sule met a pickpocket group preyed on the bag a beautiful girl named Ayla. Sule couldn't stand still see the action and fight with the pickpocket to save Ayla's bag.

The story begins from a gecko which can worth up to millions of rupiah. Sule is hired to become a detective who guards the gecko because there are threats that the animal will be stolen. Sule’s occupation as a detective then threatens his son’s life.

Sule (Sule) desperately asks his mother’s (Yati Surachman) permission to work in Malaysia. He wants to have a lot of money, in order to recapture Iis (Selvi Kitty), his girlfriend who is lulled by Cecep (Uus). This situation is exploited by Mang Saswi (Sas Widjanarko), his uncle. Sasly takes Sule to Hong Kong with Sule's money from selling his rice fields. Sule is accidentally involved with the local gang led by Bos K (Iwa K), for trying to help Aline (Pamela Bowie), daughter of an Indonesian businessman (George Rudy). He must also deal with The Bag (Volland Volt), the assassin charged by Aline’s father.
