The plot of the series takes us to Zaglav, the road to the remote area divides Zaglav into two opposing camps, on one side is the Macan family, newly rich and guest workers, and two opposing camps. All three families are connected by a godfather and interest will clash in the race for money and decide the fate of the place.

Lorena, a modern city girl, is sent to the countryside after a sequence of unforeseen and tragic events. The sale of the family estate she inherited from her late mother in her will marks the start of her journey to Dragošje, a small village in Slavonia. She initially planned to sell the house, but she ends up staying in the village.

The story begins when we learn that the lives of the main characters, although quite different and seemingly unrelated, are actually intertwined on multiple levels. Through a series of unfortunate circumstances, a great friendship and business partnership of Matko and Zoran rudely ended.

The story takes place in the Goriska region, on an estate worth several million euros, which is also a tourist facility outside the series. The Spacapans have owned this estate since 1715. The current owner of the estate is Berto Spacapan, whose wife Tonka died in an accident.

Franjo has disappeared in an avalanche. He’s left behind two wives and two daughters. An avalanche of unexpected events occurs when he comes back from the dead to announce to his family that he’s gay.

Eva Kralj, a beautiful widow who recently lost her husband, moves from Zagreb to the lively place of Jablanovo, wishing to start a new life. Upon arrival in Jablanovo, Eva discovers a shocking secret: her late husband led a double life and lived with Julija Vitezovic, his mistress with whom he had a child. Julija is the popular mayor of Jablanovo and has a wealthy family and a large agricultural estate. Eva's arrival in Jablanovo turns the settlement upside down. Two men slowly enter Eva's life, the withdrawn and charming Andrija and Christian, but she is still hurt emotionally. Andrija Bukovac and Kristijan Vitezovic fall for Eva, but they both have their problems: Andrija carries a burden of guilt for a serious accident that took place in Jablanovo, while Kristijan had faced betrayal and the struggle for supremacy in the family business.
