Biography
Born and raised in Turin, Italy. In 2016 Peirone partnered up with entrepreneur Joseph Lubin to create a new business model to finance her film, Braid, which became the first one ever to be fully financed through a cryptocurrency equity crowdsale. The sale raised 1.7M in two weeks. The film premiered at Tribeca in 2018 and won best picture at the Lausanne Underground Film Festival. Braid received worldwide distribution via Blue Fox Entertainment.

The Uncanny
Requiem for Synths is a four‑minute experimental short film written and directed by Mitzi Peirone. It stars the French techno DJ I Hate Models navigating a dystopian New York City on the eve of the 2024 US election. Produced by Renegade NYC in collaboration with Apelago Agency, the piece blends narrative and documentary elements into a “visual sonata” that probes the fracture of reality amid political crisis. Hil Steadman’s cinematography and Mark Markevans Evans’s original score underpin its brooding atmosphere. The film premiered on YouTube on 21 January 2025.
