Ursula, the bride's mother and her sister Hilde are late. They are climbing the staircase of the town hall to reach the rooms where the wedding ceremony will take place. Earlier, Ursula had stolen the wedding rings as she didn’t trust anyone else to keep them safe, and because she wanted to ensure that her daughter's wedding would be perfect. On the town hall's steps Ursula demonstratively puts both rings on her ring finger while she tries to convince her skeptical sister that the bride and groom are a match made in heaven. Suddenly, the rings are stuck on Ursula’s finger and the panicking best man, Walter, rushes out of the ceremony, followed by his wife, Claire. Walter is desperately searching for the rings. A conflict arises in which insults and animosities between all parties escalate - chaos is inevitable.
In a fictitious world, a wall goes through a country and its city. Both sides face each other irreconcilably. The film tells the story of the 40 year old rocket scientist Paul who falls in love with a supposed woman. Who, like him, is not absorbed with the irreconcilable differences of both sides and do not want to decide for one side.

One for all, all for one! That's the motto in the tranquil village of Heiterstorf just outside Hamburg. In order to be accepted again in his hometown, which Gabriel Panski once arrogantly left behind, the family man runs the gauntlet. After a depressing movie night at the rowing club, the heart of Heiterstorf, he is suddenly the "man of the hour". The village wants to help ensure that Panski doesn't have to pay for a public-spirited heroic deed: the murder of the Hamburg real estate shark Butz, who tried to rip everyone off. Although the moneyed dynast Erna Gutdorf herself scrubbed the crime scene at the rowing club, the clues lead to Panski. Inspector Winter is always one step ahead of the hungover suspect. However, she has to realize that her perfect puzzle of clues leads to a manipulated picture. When the inspector and the suspect pull together, they stumble upon a perfidious conspiracy...
The summer of 376 AD. The Gothic female warrior Elja is forced to give in to the marauding Huns and to seek shelter for herself and her clan in the Roman empire. Once at the border they must wait for orders and provisions from the Roman authorities. Elja tries to understand the Roman plans in spite of the language barrier.
The big day has come. Grandpa Herbert Maibach has become obsolete. Spending the last years in a coma, he didn’t exactly cover himself in glory. The family gathers to say their goodbyes. Easier said than done…
