Young and enthusiastic Alexander Aduev comes to St. Petersburg from the province, ready to conquer the whole world. Very soon all his ideals were crushed, and he himself repeated the fate of his practical and impassive uncle Peter.

Mukhabbat, an Uzbek immigrant, works at a convenience store on the outskirts of Moscow. Just like the rest of the immigrants at the store, she is forced to work without getting paid and endure mental and physical abuse, until she overcomes her fear one day and takes her fate into her own hands.

Sasha is a school leaver from a small town. He pretends to be an ordinary bully in the company of his classmates not to be bullied himself and to have the opportunity to see Lisa. At home Sasha is a greedy for knowledge guy. He dreams of leaving his small town but several barriers stand in his way.

It's 2018. Russia has just elected its President. A new, old President. Nothing will change during the next six years, and, at first glance, you just have to accept it. This is the way people think, whilst heroes feel otherwise. Russia has many heroes. This film is about them.

Uzbek citizen Yury Derbenev is sent to work in Moscow to raise money for the treatment of a seriously ill daughter. His profession, however, is inappropriate: Yury Alexeevich is a teacher of Russian language and literature. And by nationality he is Russian. After many ordeals and misfortunes into which the capital plunged him, Yury is faced with a choice: to go to kill and save his own daughter or remain an honest person.

The heroine of the film is a young woman from Uzbekistan, fleeing from store slavery and dreaming of returning her son.
