A suicide case is informed to the police from a mental hospital in a rocky district. Two policemen comes to hospital to investigate the case. In the same morning, Dr. Deniz comes to hospital as the new psychiatrist. Because of the heavy rain and landslide the only road and telephone connections that provide access to hospital from the city are damaged.There is no transportation to hospital and none can leave hospital. During three days, three patients are killed wildly in the hospital. Everyone becomes anxious. The police deepen the investigation. A mystical patient attracts attention.

The “director” İlker Canikligil, a controversial figure in Turkey’s digital world, has fallen into the clutches of the justice system following his prison sentence and the announcement of the verdict. However, his freedom will be secured not through conventional legal means, but through an “extraordinary” operation emerging from the dark labyrinths of Tarlabaşı.

The film was completed during the huge economical crisis in 2001 in Turkey. Heavily inspired by films like Pi and Matrix, I tried to tell the story of a man who is about to lose his sense, perception and connection with reality. The film is one of the two shorts from Turkey awarded in Clermont Ferrand to this day.

'The Rain in Spain' tells the story of a sex robot in near future. The title is a reference the iconic movie 'My Fair Lady'

6 young directors from 6 countries in 3 days in front of the Golden Drum participants created, shot and edited each their own short film on a topic »Cum grano salis«. The topic was revealed to each director only 6 hours before the shooting begins. They all have the same working conditions, the same technical equipment and two actors available. That's the way they can equally demonstrate their creative fantasy and professional ingenuity.

A woman watches out the window of in the house. The excitement that she had when her husband's knock the door shows us that days end would be different than other days.
