His sister precedes him to the home town and breaks the news of his engagement to the family. In the meantime Glen and his sweetie enlist the aid of a rickety old flivver lo make the visit to the relatives. They have a tough time keeping the old car together and to further add to their difficulties, decide to adopt an orphan baby on the way home.

Chorus girl Peggy Lane, finds a small part in a new show for David North, a stages-truck country boy. At rehearsal, David meets Delerys Devore, the show's star, and she quickly offers him a larger part in her act. Quite taken with David, Delerys invites him to her home on the pretext that Peggy will be there; when Peggy does not show up, David leaves, infuriating his hostess. Derelys has Peggy fired the next day, and in reprisal Peggy goads her into a Carmenesque fight backstage just before the show. Derelys is unable to go on stage, and Peggy takes her place, becoming the hit of the show. Peggy and David are later married and give up show business, finding contentment living on a farm.

The Knight Before Christmas
Bert is found making love to the beautiful Queen of the Harem. The romantic moment is interrupted by a dashing Sheik who enters and challenges Bert’s technique, leading to a comedic rivalry. As both men attempt to seize the woman (Bert grabbing her head and the Sheik her feet), she is revealed to be a dummy. The two men hand off the pieces of the dummy to a large slave. Bert then seizes the throne and orders a dancer to perform for him.

Mamie is a New York shop girl who has saved up for a whole year so she can put herself in an exclusive summer resort for a week like an aristocrat and perhaps win herself a "Prince Charming."
